This 5 Day 4 Night Luxury Tour Package leads you from Kuala Lumpur to Penang on a 4 Night excursion through the famed Cameron Highlands to see the beautiful High Hill Tea Gardens of Malaysia, The Royal Palace of Perak, Ubudiah Mosque of Kuala Kangsar to Belum. In Belum you will get to explore the Rain Forest on Foot and By Boat and then to Bujang Valley before proceeding to Penang Island. 

Itinerary:

  Activities 
 Day 1

At 0830/0900 hrs, pick up at the hotel lobby and depart for Cameron Highlands. Drive through a scenic mountain jungle winding road and visit the tea plantation and a small Orang Asli dwelling on the way up. Upon arrival in Cameron Highlands, check in at the hotel. The area around Cameron Highlands is known for the high population of natives still living in the forests. This tour will take you to some of these settlements where some inhabitants who seek job opportunities in the towns or farms but still prefer to live in harmony with their natural environment. Overnight.  

**Please note that the Tea factory is closed on Mondays and public holidays (and also on Tuesdays if the preceding Monday is a public holiday).

 Day 2

At 0830/0900 hrs, pick up at the hotel lobby and depart for Bukit Merah. Visit the royal town of Kuala Kangsar, residence of the Sultan of Perak, see the Ubudiah Mosque and the Royal Palace. Reach Bukit Merah, the only Orang Utan Research Facility in Peninsular Malaysia. Lunch at Bukit Merah. After lunch visit a short boat ride will take you to the Orang Utan Island where Orang Utans roam free. This unique island serves as a breeding sanctuary as well as conservation, research and education centre to better understand this endangered species. Proceed to Belum with  arrival in the late afternoon   Check in to the hotel and overnight. (B/L)

** Please note that the visit to the Orang Utan Island is not guaranteed due to the fluctuation of water level at the Lake Merah.

 Day 3

ABF. At 0900hrs meeting at Belum Rainforest Resort lobby and depart for a full day excursion to explore the Belum Forest on foot and by boat. The first stop will be a visit to the ‘Orang Asli Settlement’ to experience their traditional lifestyle. A transfer by boat will then take you for a short trekking to the Wildlife hide tower to discover the Belum flora and fauna

After a pack-lunch offered by the Resort, a new transfer by boat will lead you in search of the famous Rafflesia (subject to availability) and to relax or swim in the waterfall. Around 1600hrs, transfer back to the resort and overnight. (B/L)

Day 4 After breakfast , around 0900 hrs , depart for Penang . On the way stop to Bujang Valley. Visit the only archaeological site of Peninsula Malaysia with its many stupas and temples of the Hindu and Buddhist era spanning from the 3rd to 13th century. Visit the archaeological museum. Proceed for the island of Penang  and the Kek Lok Si Temple where a big statue dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy dominates the scene. Check in to your hotel. (B)

The Bujang Valley is a sprawling historical site located in the foothills of Gunung Jerai. It is the richest archaeological area in Malaysia. Archaeological research indicates that an ancient Hindu-Buddhist kingdom ruled here as early as 300 AD. Relics of the kingdom found at the site and now on display at the Archaeological Museum include inscribed stone caskets and tablets, metal tools and ornaments, ceramics, pottery, and Hindu icons. More than fifty ancient tomb temples, called candi, have also been unearthed, many of which were built during the Bujang Valley civilization's heyday. Near the most impressive and well-preserved of these, in Pengkalan Bayang Merbok, is the Bujang Valley Archaeological Museum. It is open from 9.30am-5pm daily.

Day 5 ABF. At 0830/0900 hrs, start a half day tour of Penang Island. Stop at the Thai Temple of the Reclining Buddha and at the Burmese Temple and at the Esplanade to see Fort Cornwallis, the old fort built by Sir Francis Light, the founder of this British Settlement, and to admire the colonial architecture of the surrounding buildings. Proceed to see the Khoo Kongsi, a beautiful Chinese Clan House. After the tour, transfer to the airport or to the hotel. (B)
